I am contemplating taking a number of post-grad students to Berlin next March, and although I have already taken some photos it would be useful to add to these. If you have time, may I suggest: A) the new Kanzlerai and Parliamentary Buildings next to the Bundestag(Reichstag) and a photo of that as well (with dome). B) The Lehrterbahnhof between Zoo and Friedrichstrasse Stations (which is taking longer than Wembley Stadium to get built). C) The Gendarmemarkt with Schauspielhaus D) Alexanderplatz in its windy concrete glory E) The HackesherHof with its trendy shops and courtyards (near eponymous station) F) PotsdamerPlatz -90s-style shopping centre + any work being done on nearby Leipziger Strasse (a heap of weeds in 2004 but the Oxford Street of Berlin up to 1945). G) the Palast der Republic(former home of East German Parliament opposite Berliner Dom) probably now being demolished H) if time go down Karl Marx Allee to shoot genuine Stalinist type town planning at Strausberger Platz I) if even more time visit Marzahn Hellersdorf to photo GDR slab blocks or (much pleasanter) Prenzlauerberg (Kathe Kollwitz Platz. Please pick from this list those sites which it is most convenient for you to do- I am certainly not expecting them all. If they can be digital I could possibly include them with your consent in a presentation “selling” Berlin to the students. Many Thanks John Seacome
