Running alongside the development of East Street Arts Journey: Departure Lounge we are developing a new stage of The www.DoGoSee.com Project. This is the beta launch of an audio map of Leeds and Berlin. Previous participants in the project have been contacted to record narratives of the city. The sound clips will be available to download via mobile phone making it possible for you to roam the streets and hear a tale, or two.
If you have not participated in the project but have a great story about Leeds or Berlin just click here to be processed through to our online check-in form.
Go and see the water sculpture on The Calls, near to Call Lane. Take a photo of someone running their hands over the wet surface of the silver ball and get them to take a photo of you doing the same.

We were visiting the Checkpoint Charlie museum in Berlin when we came face to face with… friends from our home city, Paris! Unbeknownst to each other, we had planned a visit to Berlin the same weekend. How lucky we are not to have to smuggle ourselves accross borders to travel and see friends! I remember an exhibit in the museum with a music speaker that had been hollowed out to hide a woman (she must have been very slight, or a contortionist). The girl’s boyfriend was in a band and hid her in the music gear when they went on tour outside East Germany. The wall is down… and yet some of our friends are still hampered by carrying the wrong colour of passport and are barred from travelling to many places, or must cajole and bribe paper-pushers to get visas. Blast the checkpoints, charlie or otherwise!
